The production of pepper roasters is the pride of the family-owned company "Skitia 1 GT" from General Toshevo. "Skitia 1 GT" has operated as an independent family enterprise since 2002, though its manufacturing history dates back to 1986. Today, the facility in General Toshevo produces grills, electric grills, barbecues, soldering irons, party grills, and, of course, pepper roasters. Its products reach beyond Bulgarian stores; a portion is exported to European markets, including Germany, Spain, and the UK. With support from the "Innovation and Competitiveness" Operational Programme and the "Balchik – General Toshevo" Local Action Group, the company has invested in new equipment. The production line now includes a curing oven and a complete conveyor system for applying and baking coatings onto components for pepper roasters and grills. This new technology improves working conditions, reduces physical strain on workers, and makes the manufacturing process cleaner. The coating material applied to the parts can now be reused rather than becoming waste, and production capacity increases by approximately 30 percent when the machinery runs at full load. The pepper roaster is no longer the only option for roasting vegetables—ovens, grills, electric grills, and modern cooking appliances are available—yet it endures. In General Toshevo, the family firm "Skitia 1 GT" continues to manufacture pepper roasters and grills. The company was registered in the early 2000s, and today it is an established manufacturer of small household electrical appliances.
