The CPC allowed OMV to take over a key site next to "Danube Bridge 2" The Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC) officially authorized OMV Bulgaria OOD to acquire control over a gas station with a shopping complex in the city of Vidin, owned by Bulneft Gaz EOOD. The deal will be implemented through the conclusion of a long-term lease agreement. The facility, which was previously operated by Petrol AD, is located in a key location in close proximity to the border crossing with Romania – Danube Bridge 2. OMV currently has one gas station in the city, which, however, is not suitable for servicing transit traffic due to its location. Control over the facility is acquired for a long period of time, which, according to the practice of the CPC and European requirements, constitutes a permanent change in the market structure.
