Forestry enterprises increased their income through the electronic sale of wood State forestry enterprises have increased their revenues by nearly BGN 35 million through the platform built by "Information Service" AD for holding electronic auctions for the sale of wood. The additional funds were realized from the increase in the initially announced price of the wood that was offered at auction. Three of the six state forest enterprises that sell wood harvested from state forest territories work with the platform. These are the Southwest State Enterprise, the Northwest State Enterprise and the Northeast State Enterprise. The total amount of revenues from electronic wood auctions exceeded BGN 146 million, and for the last year alone they were over BGN 60 million. Since the launch of the platform in 2016, nearly 2,500 electronic auctions have been held so far. The electronic platform significantly facilitates the process of registration of the participants in the auctions, as well as the work of the commissions on the auction procedures. To access the platform and participate in the bidding, only initial registration and a Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) are required. The e-auctions on the platform are transparent bidding and are conducted in real time via a web browser.
